So, about a month or two ago, I stumbled upon these videos while I was trudging through the net. I found them to be interesting and controversial. Whether or not all of what is mentioned can be supported with concrete evidence I'm not sure, but I do believe that for the most part this is credible. The message is one every individual should consider. I'd like your feedback. Do you agree? Do you disagree? Why? Has it shifted your views, your way of thinking? What are your views on religion, Christian based belief systems in particular? The links are below. Please take the time to watch and reflect upon the videos.

Ma, I want a burger!
Food. It's something that concerns all of us. Well, most of us. Except for that man in India. But I digress. We all eat food, but seldom do we bother to ponder where it comes from and how it is processed before it gets on our plates. I'm here to tell you that maybe you should reconsider.
Of course the quality of food is regulated, and so is how it is processed. But it's remarkable how much that we'd consider harmful or just plain disgusting gets in. Awhile back I was watching a health show and the topic of the day was food; organic, natural, quality and all that good stuff. Apparently the FDA's standards are below what many people might think. Rotting fruits and veggies, small animals such as mice as well as their feces commonly make their way into processed foods, like peanut butter or tomato sauce. The processing plants' solution? Add more non-contaminated food to tip the ratio of good and bad. Who would've thought that rat poop was what made Skippy so tasty?
It gets worse when it comes to processed meat. Everyone has known for ages that Chicken McNuggets contain more than all white meat and that the beef patty in your burger was made of less than choice cuts of meat. But much like the low percentage of quality meat in our burgers, very few people comprehend just how down and dirty processing gets. Chances are that if you've eating or are eating a burger, it came from Beef Products Inc. Now, a few years ago, Beef Products had the genius idea of injecting fatty trimmings, hooves and all the leftovers that are used for pet food with ammonia. Studies showed that ammonia killed E. coli and salmonella. The USDA endorsed this method and burger joint giants such as McDonald's and Burger King have been using Beef Products' meat in their burgers. Can anyone say, "Pass the Windex?" Oh, did I mention that schools across the nation also used ammonia treated beef in the burgers they served? Well, they have, and E. coli and salmonella were found many times in their meat. Luckily, they caught the problem before you kids could eat it. Or so they claim.
Unfortunately, Beef Products is still selling their meat which means that people are still buying. And less that one percent of all of that meat is tested for contamination. So next time you're craving a burger, think twice before stepping into your favorite burger joint. And do some research. Maybe your favorite place doesn't buy meat from Beef Products. Maybe they do. That's what Google is for right? Go ahead. Type Beef Products Inc. in the search bar. You know you want to.

The End is Knocking
Everyone's had Jehovah's Witness' knock at their door, right? Usually they give you this little pamphlet about how it's not to late to repent and tell you that you can join them the coming Sunday. Or so it has been in my experience. Today they came as usual, although I had the door open, so there was no chance of me avoiding them. So I answered the door, they gave me the talk and this time, a thin booklet. This booklet was different than the others, however. This one was about Atheism and how it would lead to the end of the world. Imagine that. I disagree.
The world isn't going to end because people don't believe in God. The world's existence has never depended upon creatures believing in God, or having a religion. Nothing has changed since the beginning of time, in that respect. If the world ends, it won't be because God threw a hissy fit as a result of humanity's loss of faith. People look up to the sky and down to the pits of hell, never considering that perhaps the apocalypse would be nearing due to their own actions. It's not a lack of faith, my friends. It's a lack of accountability.
The simple fact of the matter is that the longer people maintain the childish notion that God and Satan are responsible for all that is good and evil, the longer the problem will go without remedy. People need to learn to take responsibility for their actions. Its humanity's unwillingness to truly accept accountability for what it has done that will be its undoing. People kill, rape, torture, and destroy. It's not going to be a righteous bolt of lightning from the heavens that will bring about the end. It'll be a bomb set off by people. It'll be disease set forth in biological warfare. It'll be the spread of humanity from one end of the earth to the other.

Bad Romance
Everyone's seen those romantic flicks, and that hint of romance is often present in movies that aren't of the said genre. Now a guy will probably ignore the whole romantic theme, but not women. And lately I've been hearing a lot of women ask, "What the hell happened to romance?" More to the point is probably, "Why aren't guys (the guys I date) romantic?" And it's not just a lack of romance, but a lack of chivalry.
Well, there are a lot of answers to those questions. In my opinion, the answer is almost always that other women stopped demanding it. And that has to do with the whole institution of relationships, what they are, and how they work, aaaand, your partner's past relationships. Let's be honest. People are a lot more promiscuous nowadays. How does that tie in you ask? Well, way back in the day people would court their object of love; they didn't just hop into bed after the first date. Now, this is where I'd like the ladies to pay attention. Men use love to get sex. Women use sex to get love. Think of guys as dogs and sex as that doggy treat. As long as you keep that doggy treat with you, the dog is going to follow you and do all these tricks to get you to give them the treat, and it's cute and you like it. You give the dog the treat, he's going to expect another one, and you might give couple more. Nice analogy I drew, huh? My point is that you need to delay gratification a while. You should want to form an emotional bond with your partner. As great as sex is, it's no replacement for true human connection.
Now onto past relationships. As we enter one relationship and move onto another, we learn things about how people work. We pick up little signs that tell clue us in on what's going on with our significant other. Everyone knows what they want when they enter a relationship with someone. Some people are only looking to have fun. Others want a long, committed relationship. And you can tell what someone wants in a short while if not from the get go. More importantly, however, you need to make it clear what it is that you want. Just be sure that both parties want the same thing. If a guy is genuinely interested in you, he'll make note of little things, things that other people would generally overlook. And that's true of most people who care for you, regardless of whether or not they're interested in you romantically.
Above all, you should be realistic about what you want and who you're with. Not all guys are going to write you poems or compose a love ballad for you. Most probably won't swoop in on a white horse or a nice car at that. But the guy who does care for you is going to be there when you need him and probably when you don't. He's going to know how you're feeling by the way act and by what you say or don't say. He's going to know what you need even when you act like it's something else. He's going to know what counts.
